Not enough people talk about Postpartum Anxiety.
We have heard of postpartum depression but for some reason noone talks about the anxiety side.
You can live with the postpartum anxiety for years and if left untreated you can get chronically sick over and over again monthly because your body is so stressed out.
As moms giving birth it is traumatic on the body and psyche. If it doesn’t get reset after baby it can leave us exhausted and depleted.
Signs of Postpartum anxiety:
-Constant worrying
-Living in fear of bad things in the world
-Disrupted sleep(not just because kids wake up)
-Heart palpitations
-Feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed
-Fearing leaving your child with your spouse or people you trust
-Constantly looking over your shoulder
-Constantly reporting suspicious behavior to the police
-Constant tense and tight upper back
-Extreme body pain (like fibromyalgia)
Please talk to your doctor about this. Life is too short to live in fear and sickness constantly.
Anxiety deteriorates the body including organs it’s not just a mental condition. The body stores trauma and needs time to heal appropriately.
Natural ways to help ease anxiety:
-Yoga
-Meditation
-Clean eating
-Movement
-Talking to a therapist
-Herbs
-Massage
-Reiki
